What’s Loop and Reduce?

Originally a feature in QlikView, Loop and Reduce lets you split a single Qlik app into multiple smaller ones based on a chosen field. This makes distributing only the most relevant data to different teams easier, keeping each app lean, fast, and focused. Now, we’ve brought that same experience to Qlik Sense.

Until now, you could deploy apps using “Repository to Server” or “Server to Server.” However, these methods always pushed the full app, even when teams only needed a slice of the data.

With Loop and Reduce, developers can now deploy automatically segmented versions of an app based on specific dimensions like region, gender, business unit, and more. Each team gets just the version they need.
